(DailyChive.com) – Recently unsealed court filings revealed that the Biden administration authorized FBI officers to use deadly force “when necessary” during their raid to recover classified documents from Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence.
The administration also asked the FBI agents to carry ammunition, bolt cutters, and handcuffs and to conceal their equipment.
The FBI officials were also instructed to “engage” with the former president and the Secret Service agents protecting him.
Furthermore, a medic accompanied law enforcement to handle any injuries during the raid.
The document suggested that the FBI was supposed to use lethal force if they had a “reasonable belief” that they were in danger from Mar-a-Lago residents.
After learning about the filing, Trump fired back at Biden and called him a threat to democracy and mentally unfit to serve as the president of the United States. He also urged lawmakers to invoke the 25th constitutional amendment to replace Biden.
However, the FBI stated that they only followed their SOPs during the raid, adding that the law enforcement agency follows these steps in all of its raids.
The FBI raided Trump’s scenic Mar-a-Lago residence back in February 2022, when the former president was present in New York.
Meanwhile, conservative think tank, the Heritage Foundation, slammed the Biden administration for stooping so low to advance its political interests. They stated that Biden is not only posing a threat to his political opponents but also to parents and other conservatives who do not follow his political ideologies.
The think tank urged lawmakers to bring the incumbent president to justice, adding that the FBI should undergo a complete overhaul to regain its lost dignity.
The spokesperson of the Trump campaign, Karoline Leavitt, also grilled liberal media outlets for their attempts to justify Biden’s efforts to harm the former president. She stated that Americans are fed up with media organizations propagating liberal agendas, claiming that this is a reason why Trump continues to lead Biden in nationwide polls.
