Biden Mobilizes Phone Campaign to Save Re-election

(DailyChive.com) – President Joe Biden is increasingly relying on a phone campaign to save his White House run as he sees immediate success in this outreach tactic.

After facing severe criticism for continuing his presidential bid from the Democratic stakeholders, the president is now trying hard to convince the estranged members of his party to support his campaign.

Biden wrote a letter to Congressional Democrats and expressed his will to stay in the race as he warned the lawmakers that any rhetoric against his decision to remain in the race would only help the Trump campaign.

Senator Mark Warner, who leads the Senate Intelligence Committee and planned a private meeting to lobby against Biden’s presidential bid, has now called off his meeting amid the rising signs of reconciliation within Democrats. Biden, who was anticipating a major revolt from Democratic senators before this meeting, has now been backed by multiple senators in recent days, including John Fetterman, Catherine Cortez-Masto, Gary Peters, and Raphael Warnock.

House Democrats are also busy gathering support for Biden’s reelection bid, with lawmakers like Bennie Thompson, AOC, Dan Goldman, Jim Clyburn, Ayanna Pressley, Steven Horsford, and Rosa De Lauro already announcing their support for the Biden campaign.

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries also claimed that Biden is the best candidate to lead the Democratic party in the November elections despite hosting a call with multiple ranking members of important House committees, who reportedly voiced their concerns against Biden’s reelection bid.

One veteran Democratic strategist asserted that attempts by some Democrats to replace Biden are “pure fantasy,” adding that nominating a new candidate with less than four months in elections is just an impractical approach and that voters will never prefer Trump over Biden just because of one bad debate.

Another Biden staffer claimed that the president is popular among the Democratic voter base more than any other candidate and that he has a record of defeating a sitting president and delivering on nearly every Democratic issue.
