(DailyChive.com) – President Joe Biden faced backlash from black voters over his “race-baiting” remarks during the Morehouse commencement speech in Atlanta.
Speaking on Fox News, a black New Yorker, Lou Valentino, grilled Biden over his controversial remarks. He argued that Biden should have encouraged students at a time when they were about to start their professional lives instead of demotivating them. Valentino added that students worked hard for four years, only to hear his racist remarks at the end, which reveals the true colors of the Democratic Party.
While addressing the class of 2024 at Morehouse College, Biden stated that this is the batch that started their college right after the murder of George Floyd. The president also questioned the current state of democracy in the country, stating that black students must be at least ten times better than their white counterparts to achieve the same level of success in the professional world.
Another black voter, Ajay Brewer, from Virginia, told the Fox News that Biden is propagating hopelessness among the black community. He also revealed that he was a long-time Democratic supporter until he opened his own business, which allowed him to realize that liberals are trying too hard to portray the black community as victims.
Brewer also expressed his desire for less government involvement in the daily lives of black Americans as it suggests that black people are not capable enough to do anything on their own.
Another black voter from Georgia, Bernadette Wright, advised Biden not to discriminate against people based on their race.
The college announced in April that the president would speak at the commencement. Since this announcement, the college faced continuous pressure from both teachers and students to cancel this address.
During Biden’s speech, many students also turned their backs on the president as a symbol of protest.
Black voters, who are traditionally associated with Democrats, are increasingly attracted to Trump for this year’s election cycle.
