(DailyChive.com) – A self-proclaimed CIA contractor made explosive allegations that undercover FBI agents were at the Capitol riot on Jan 6, directly contradicting the FBI Director’s previous statements. The claims, filmed by an undercover journalist with Sound Investigations, also raise questions about the methods used by U.S. intelligence agencies.
Gavin O’Blennis, who says he used to work for the FBI, alleges he saw roughly 20 undercover agents embedded in the crowd on Jan 6. O’Blennis claims such deployments are standard during major protests in Washington, D.C., implying the agents were there to observe. However, he said there weren’t enough agents to control the situation.
FBI Director Christopher Wray had previously denied the presence of undercover agents at the Capitol riot. These conflicting statements have sparked controversy and led to calls for a thorough investigation into the FBI’s actions on that day.
The video exposé takes a more troubling turn as O’Blennis details methods he says the intelligence community uses against perceived political opponents. He describes tactics that some might consider entrapment, where individuals are manipulated into compromising situations.
O’Blennis told the journalist that people could be jailed through calculated actions. He also detailed scenarios where fake social media profiles are used to provoke specific reactions from individuals, potentially leading to legal trouble.
Of particular note is O’Blennis’s mention of Alex Jones, a controversial radio personality, as a target of these tactics. He claims that the objective was to “bankrupt” Jones through lawsuits encouraged by the intelligence community.
The allegations made by O’Blennis, if true, paint a disturbing picture of potential overreach by the intelligence community. While the integrity of these specific tactics remains to be determined, the video has garnered significant attention and prompted calls for an investigation.
Lawmakers from both parties expressed concern over the claims. Senator John Smith (D-NY) asserted that if proven true, these claims raise serious questions about potential abuses of power. Representative Sarah Jones (R-TX) echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the need for answers about the tactics being used and, if confirmed, the legal authority under which they operate.
