The letter was organized by the group Flag Officers 4 America, which praised Trump’s record on national security, safety, and upholding the Constitution.
The group sharply criticized the Biden administration, accusing it of allowing the country to become unsafe and deeply divided. They pointed to the administration’s focus on issues like Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as a major factor in the growing division within the country. According to the group, this internal conflict is weakening America, leaving foreign adversaries room to take advantage of the situation.
Citing a recent bipartisan report on national defense, the letter warned that the U.S. faces serious global threats and could soon be pulled into a major conflict with powerful enemies. They emphasized that strong leadership is needed to avoid such a disaster and urged voters to support Trump in the upcoming election. “Our future is at stake,” the letter declared.
The letter was released as the Biden administration dealt with several ongoing crises. Over the weekend, a hurricane ravaged the southeastern U.S., killing over 150 people and leaving many others missing. Despite the disaster, President Biden was at his beach home, and Vice President Kamala Harris was campaigning on the west coast. In contrast, Trump visited Georgia, bringing much-needed supplies like water and oil, and meeting with residents affected by the storm.
International tensions are also on the rise, particularly in the Middle East. Iran recently launched hundreds of missiles at Israel, and a broader war now seems possible. The retired military leaders blamed the Biden-Harris administration for failing to contain the conflict.
The letter praised Trump as a proven leader who would secure the border, confront foreign enemies, and fix the economy. They criticized Biden’s policies on immigration, inflation, and national security, arguing that his leadership has left the country vulnerable to threats.
Calling this election the most important in U.S. history, they urged Americans to choose Trump, stating that the nation’s security and future depend on it.
