Gang Member with Seven Prior Deportations Now Charged with Murder

(DailyChive.com) – Fermin Garcia-Gutierrez, a 46-year-old undocumented immigrant from Mexico, has been deported from the United States seven times and now faces charges of aggravated murder in Butler County, Ohio.

Sheriff Richard Jones, speaking on behalf of law enforcement, accuses Gutierrez, a member of an illegal alien gang, of murder, alongside firearm offenses and drug charges. Jones revealed that the unrepentant illegal alien has been incarcerated in Butler County Jail on 11 occasions and has served prison sentences three times, using seven different aliases.

Remarkably, authorities have expelled Garcia-Gutierrez from the U.S. to Mexico a total of seven times.

During a press conference, Sheriff Jones expressed concerns regarding the impact of illegal immigration on Butler County, Ohio. He noted that there have been over 1,000 prisoners on state charges in Butler County Jail in Ohio in the three years since President Biden took office. Jones elaborated, explaining that these prisoners collectively faced at least 2,000 state charges, resulting in a financial burden of approximately $4 million for Butler County.

Highlighting Garcia-Gutierrez’s repeated border crossings, Jones appealed to both the President of the United States and the President of Mexico, questioning the extent of Garcia-Gutierrez’s criminal activities.

The victim of Garcia-Gutierrez’s alleged murder, identified as 41-year-old Fernando Oviedo, was found dead in a Hamilton alley. Jones emphasized that Oviedo might still be alive if not for the porous southern border.

Garcia-Gutierrez, currently detained at Butler County Jail, faces charges including premeditated aggravated murder, possession of weapons while intoxicated, carrying concealed weapons, drug possession, and obstructing official business.

The discovery of the victim’s body prompted a homicide investigation by Hamilton police, who responded to a 911 call reporting the incident. Sheriff Jones emphasizes Garcia-Gutierrez’s repeated deportations and criminal history, raising concerns about border security and illegal immigration.

Responding to Jones’s remarks, the Ohio Immigration Alliance highlighted studies indicating that immigrants commit crimes at a lower rate than native-born individuals. Meanwhile, Hamilton police have confirmed that Garcia-Gutierrez is the sole suspect in Oviedo’s murder and withheld the victim’s identity pending notification of the family.
