(DailyChive.com) – Shocking testimony from a paralegal working for Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg suggested major record tampering by the prosecution team in Donald Trump’s hush money criminal trial.
On May 10, Bragg’s paralegal, Jaden Jarmel-Schneider, admitted that three pages of call records between former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen and Keith Davidson, who previously represented adult film actress Stormy Daniels, were erased from the case files against Trump without informing the former president’s legal team.
Bragg’s office presented a summary of call records in front of the court but did not include some specific records. This means that the court was deprived of much evidence necessary for a fair and transparent trial.
Bragg’s team also played a call recording in front of the court that showed Trump and Cohen allegedly speaking about hush money payment to Daniels.
However, Trump’s legal team claimed that Cohen tampered with the call recording and then presented it to prosecutors to push the former president into trouble. According to Trump’s legal team, the call ended abruptly, which is major evidence that the call was tampered.
On the other hand, prosecutors have denied this notion, claiming that Cohen received another call just 22 seconds after dropping his call with Trump, which suggests that he did not doctor the recording at all.
Jarmel-Schneider revealed the removal of call records from records during his testy exchange with Trump’s lawyer Emil Bove. Bove told the paralegal that the District Attorney’s office was responsible for keeping all the records intact, but it seems that they did not fulfill their responsibilities.
Trump’s eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., slammed Bragg and his team for record tampering. He noted that the prosecutors committed a felony, adding that Trump would have landed in trouble had they tampered with any evidence.
Don Jr. also urged media outlets to tell the American public about this alleged tampering. He claimed that news networks today will completely ignore this issue as they have become mouthpieces of the Biden administration.
