Venezuelan Gang Authorized to Kill Police Officers

(DailyChive.com) – Venezuelan criminal gang members with Tren de Aragua (TdA) are now authorized by leadership to open fire on American cops, according to authorities. A bulletin from the Colorado Information Analysis Center included details released from the Albuquerque New Mexico Police Department which said that federal partners have warned that TdA members may begin targeting police who interfere in their criminal enterprises.

The information was first relayed by corporate press covering Homeland Security Investigations in Chicago suggesting that the authorities are aware of the situation. Denver police told the media that they were similarly aware of the bulletin.

Customs and Border Protections (CBP) has issued previous warnings about the gang, including detailed descriptions of tattoos common amongst its members. They’ve warned that TdA regularly engages in kidnapping, extortion, sex trafficking, and murder. They’ve had success entering the U.S. under the Biden/Harris administration’s effectively open border and have already been tied to dozens of criminal investigations.

Former ICE field director John Fabbricatore is running for Congress representing Colorado and he’s highlighted that TdA has been attempting to takeover entire apartment buildings. He said they wouldn’t be able to operate in the U.S. like this without the open border.

Fabbricatore highlighted that sanctuary cities are giving refuge to criminal organizations who are drawn by the promise of benefits and lax law enforcement. He said the lack of respect for law enforcement is cultural, and with leadership authorizing violence against police, it’s possible that we’ll see an uptick in violent attacks on police officers in cities where TdA operates.

TdA came into the spotlight after the brother of Laken Riley’s killer was reported as involved with the organization. One of the gang’s leaders, Larry Alvarez, 45, was busted in Colombia. Alvarez is wanted in 196 countries and escaped a Venezuelan prison in 2015. The organization was involved in smuggling weapons into migrant shelters in New York City.

Another TdA member was busted recently after opening fire on two cops. Thankfully no one was killed.
