Venezuelan Gang Members Accused of Murder

(DailyChive.com) – Two illegal alien gang members from Venezuela have been accused of killing a 59-year-old man in Stamford, Connecticut, earlier this month.

The suspects, Gregory Marlyn Galindez-Trias, 24, and Moises Alejandro Candollo-Urbaneja, 22, were arrested in Rensselaer County, New York. Police say the two were caught using a credit card that belonged to Angel Samaniego, the man found murdered on October 14 in Stamford.

Along with the stolen credit card, officers say they found other belongings of Samaniego in the suspects’ possession. Authorities also revealed that both men are linked to the Tren de Aragua gang, a violent criminal organization based in Venezuela. This gang has reportedly been spreading its influence into American communities over the past few years, raising concerns about crime related to illegal immigration.

Galindez-Trias and Candollo-Urbaneja are said to be in a relationship, and when they were arrested, police discovered two young children with them — a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old. The children have since been taken into the care of Rensselaer County Child Protective Services. It’s unclear how the children are related to the suspects.

Currently, both men are being held in Rensselaer County Jail. They are waiting to be transferred into the custody of Stamford police, where they will face charges related to Samaniego’s death.

This case has already sparked discussions about border security and the impact of criminal gangs entering the U.S. illegally. Incidents like this add fuel to ongoing debates over immigration enforcement and public safety, especially in smaller communities like Stamford that are not used to seeing gang-related violence of this kind.

For now, residents are left waiting for answers — and justice.
