Washington Post Readers Push Jill Biden to Persuade Joe to Quit

(DailyChive.com) – Washington Post readers sent multiple letters to Jill Biden and asked her to convince President Joe Biden to step out of the presidential race to pave the way for a candidate who can really save the country from the threats posed by former President Donald Trump.

A group of Philadelphia-based women who claimed to campaign for different Democratic causes over the years wrote in their letter that they were extremely relieved when Biden defeated Trump back in 2020, adding that the time has now come for Biden to end his reelection bid and save his long-lasting legacy that would be destroyed otherwise. The women belonging to a diverse range of professions, such as education, medicine, law, banking, and science, further wrote that a younger candidate could defeat Trump in the upcoming elections and save the country from the imminent threat of the former president.

Another reader, Richard Young, urged in his letter that the first lady must lead the effort to convince Joe Biden to drop out of the race. Young wrote that Biden’s stay in the race only increases Trump’s probability of winning the elections, and that he agrees with the widespread notion that Biden is unfit to run for the top office. While the idea of remaining resilient in the face of adversity may captivate Biden, Young continued, it will only increase his suffering.

Other readers told Jill that she has started losing their respect as she does not seem interested in having a “tough conversation” with Biden and telling him the much-needed truth.

One reader, Andrew Logan Lawrence, wrote that just like the former First Lady Nancy Reagan, who stood by her husband during his Alzheimer’s disease, Jill should also prioritize the health of the man she loves instead of pushing him further in a mentally draining role.

Some readers also acknowledged that Biden does not stand any chance against Trump in the 2024 elections, and replacing him with a better candidate may save the country from the former president.
