(DailyChive.com) – Comedian Whoopi Goldberg hosted a special episode of “The View” after Donald Trump’s conviction in the hush money trial, where she concluded the show by repeatedly saying the word “guilty” 34 times to mock the former president.
Goldberg does not typically host a show on Fridays, but Trump’s guilty verdict compelled her to make a special appearance.
Right at the start of the show, Goldberg asked her audience not to change the channel and to stay with her during this “unique moment.”
She typically avoids mentioning Trump’s name on her show, referring to him as “You know who.” However, this time, she used his full name and referred to him as a ‘convicted felon.’
Her co-host, Sunny Hostin, noted that she spoke to insiders from the Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s office, who are preparing to propose a one-year jail term for the former president, as this sentence in New York must be served at Rikers Island.
Hostin noted that she feels overwhelmed by Trump’s conviction, and it seems that everyone is a winner in this verdict.
Meanwhile, Trump’s former White House staffer, Alyssa Griffin, stated that the verdict could backfire on Democrats, as Trump now has the motivation to run for the White House to avoid jail.
While appearing on the show, Griffin stated that Trump and his supporters will come back stronger to clinch a historic election.
At the end of the show, Goldberg mocked Trump and said “guilty” 34 times, with each one referring to a single charge against the former president.
Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records in his hush money trial for not disclosing his $130,000 payment to the adult film star Stormy Daniels. The former president has labeled the charges as politically motivated and has already announced plans to appeal the verdict. The detailed implications of the decision on voters’ opinions are yet to be seen.
