(DailyChive.com) – At an event in Michigan on Saturday, Hollywood actor Zachary Levi, known for his role in the “Shazam!” movies, announced his support for Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election. With the election just a few weeks away, Levi’s endorsement is making headlines.
Levi, who was moderating an event featuring former presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and former Hawaii congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, began by explaining that he initially supported Kennedy. However, when RFK Jr. suspended his campaign, Levi had to reconsider his options.
“In an ideal world, I would have voted for Bobby,” Levi said. “But we don’t live in an ideal world. We live in a broken one, with a lot of people steering this country in the wrong direction. It’s up to us to stop that.”
Levi explained that his upbringing in a Christian conservative family influenced his worldview. His parents taught him to be wary of the government, and he found Kennedy to be the kind of politician he wanted to support. However, with Kennedy out of the race, Levi made it clear that his choice now is Trump.
Levi, who starred as Shazam in DC’s superhero films, has had a history of voicing controversial opinions. In 2023, he stirred up social media by criticizing Pfizer, agreeing with a post that labeled the pharmaceutical company as dangerous. The comment drew backlash, especially from people on the political left, who accused Levi of promoting anti-vaccine views.
Despite the controversies, Levi seems undeterred. At the Michigan event, he stood by his beliefs, aligning himself with Trump’s vision for the country. Fox News reached out to Levi and Trump’s campaign for comment but did not get an immediate response.
