(DailyChive.com) – Progressive lawmaker Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez fears that former president Donald Trump can incarcerate her after winning the November elections.
Speaking with Kara Swisher, AOC suggested that Trump is “out of his mind” and his 2016 presidential campaign was all about locking up Hillary Clinton, adding that she will not be surprised if she is also thrown in jail.
The far-left congresswoman also stated that she takes Trump’s words at face value when he threatens other politicians and journalists.
She also added that Trump has learned his lessons by appointing professionals to important roles, and he will not hesitate to appoint his staunch supporters to key positions if he wins the second term.
While Trump has faced preemptive criticism for possibly jailing his political opponents after winning the elections, the former president has suggested that he has no intentions to go that route.
Speaking to Sean Hannity, Trump noted that it is easy for him to go after Biden’s family due to their alleged corruption scandals and how they received millions of dollars from China, Russia and Ukraine, but he will not pursue these cases as it will hurt America in the long run.
When asked if Trump can really win the White House in November after being convicted in his hush money case, AOC acknowledged that Trump can indeed win the presidency, adding that this is the reason why she has already announced to support Joe Biden in the elections.
According to her, democracy will cease to exist in the US in case of Trump’s possible win, and everyone will be equally impacted by his victory.
Meanwhile, AOC acknowledged that Americans are getting demoralized by Biden, which is the reason behind his decreasing popularity.
Trump has accused Biden of initiating politically motivated cases against him and claimed that even if he were not running for the presidency, Biden would have been prosecuting his other rivals for the sake of winning the elections.
